VA and NJ 2009 election results and opinions

mcdonnell-christieWe’re not over reading the tea leaves Newsweek, this is a clear sign that people do not give a damn about the change Obama is promising. More importantly,it says something about the President’s political capital. Remember it was this same Obama who was campaigning for both Corzine and Deeds up to a week ago urging voters to keep them in power and send a strong message that this is a referendum.

So if that’s the case, how come Gibbs is now telling the press that the President “isn’t watching returns.” If the elections were not so important then why the hell was he campaigning for them. This guy makes not one bit of bloody sense. I will agree that this was not a personal message to Obama, on the other hand it was a message to his policies and party who has been running this country like a banana republic since January.

And while we can dispute that Virginia was a no brainer, there is no disputing that NJ which is one of reddest states in the Union was an example of what happens when political leaders fail to deliver the change they promise.

But fear not my liberal allies, this is the never ending game of politics. More then naturally the GOP will gain control of both houses in 2010 and then they will become just as corrupt as you are and guess who the voters will elect again? Yep you guessed it.
