He’s failed at acting, comedy and now being able to file his taxes. I don’t know which is funnier, that he is running for the US Senate or that he happens to have $70,000 in back-taxes while running for the US senate.
According to Politico.com and many other news sources Al Franken’s run for the US senate has been marred by new light regarding his back taxes ranging from speeches in many states that he failed to file tax income for.
Well he is a comedian (even if he failed at it) so this must be part of his act to win the hearts of his gullible voters. Wasn’t this the same guy who was part of the “New Liberal Radio Network” which was supposed to combat the awful effects of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh? Well stranger things have happened. As bad a rut as Snipes is in I’d say it looks more rosy for him than Franken because as this comes to light it would appear that all his hopes of a seat in the US senate are dashed. I swear Barney would make a better senator than Al Frankenstein.

Its been just one month since that dreaded ban on the internet had left many natives light years behind even the Amish. But within that month we’re starting to see the lovely face of the familiar blogger community raise their heads above the water for the first time since the Internets birth 14 years and 1 day ago.
Of course the Government is still keeping tight tabs on the new found freedom of the Cubans but that has not prevented many of the daring ones form expressing their true feelings and real life facts on living in an oppressed nation.
Many people might think communism in Cuba is still strong but the truth be told its fallen apart and is only alive in the eyes of the old leaders. Of course that does not mean that they’re not going to try and stop the progress…the way the Iraqi army burned and destroyed all in its way as they retreated from Kuwait during the ‘91 golf war.

If you happen to be a hacker and are concerned that someone is going to buy your software and distribute it illegally (the same way they do with music) or use it to hack another hackers computer? Well you threaten them with the law. Well of course it can’t be the police but you can always report them to the antivirus companies and give away their secrets (like how to stop their hacking spree or limit their destructive influence).
Well that’s exactly what some fellows over there in Europe have done. Release hacking software with intellectual rights (the same ones you have to agree to when installing new software). What is quite amusing is trying to use the law to protect property that has been gotten illegally and used for illegal ventures.

You know the age old statement, “winning is not everything” but with the current trend of sports stars and the cooking and deceiving and lying that goes on in armature and professional sports these days it seems like we hardly believe that line anymore (or else would would not watch Superbowl).
Well finally a breath of fresh air. Would you help your opposing team mate get a home run even if it cost you not only the game but elimination from the playoffs? Well that’s exactly what Mallory Holtman and another member of the Central Washington University did.

So much for old man Mac’s recession talk. According to official numbers released by the Department of Commerce although the economy is in a rut it managed to grow by 0.6% during the Jan-Mar period. That’s bad news for the Democrats who are trying to use the old card again, (the economy is in a recession when a Republican is in office).
So guess what now. They’re predicting that the recession will come next quarter or at the end of this one. At least be thankful that our economy is growing, even by a little, and not like the UK housing market which looses 45£ ever day.

I was listening to the talk show the other day and a caller made an excellent point. Yes we are tired of the primaries being dragged out so long. And I’m sure you Democrats are infuriated that McCain has no body to spar with while Hillary and Barack are team killing. But on the bright side, for once we get to see the true nature of those vying for our votes without us having to force it out of them. Well except for McCain who still is not saying anything much….(which scares me).
Who would have thought that the lovable Obama would give Hillary the finger? Yeah we always knew Hillary lied but um such a blatant one about ducking sniper fire and her husband covering up for her (being the good husband he is…minus the Lewinsky fiasco). And as the days roll on we are having new revelations into their lives which are filled with lies (rhyming).
Oh well it still does not boost my interest. As I’ve said before I’m not voting for either McCain, Clinton or Obama….although I predict McCain will win the election. We’ll just have to see how wide of a margin he can pull it off by.

Yes I know and he knows that the controversy he has stirred up over his recent comments are not going to go away if he stays quiet or if he talks about it. But I’m beginning to wonder if Rev. Jeremiah Wright is intentionally trying to kill Obama’s bid for the Democratic nomination or worse the White House.
Should he come out and try and defend himself? Well he has nothing to loose. Hardly a damn person knew who the Rev. was until Sean Hannity broke the story almost a year ago (and more recently the media), although Winfrey used to attend his church (so I understand). So as it seems now for him, I’m already in the spot light and since its not going away any time soon why the hell not do my thing before they kill the lights.
Yes I know everyone wants the spotlight on them at least once in a while (whether for selfish or unselfish reasons) but ahem don’t you think you should tone down your statements Mr. Wright? Your own black brothers are telling you that you’re hurting the poor fella. Give it a rest or at least tread waters for a while and stop stirring up the brothers.
What is quite surprising is that the Republican alligators are yet to prey upon the drowning Obama. What’s that you say? Oh yeah he’s not drowning….YET!

Not exactly the news you’d find on a political blog, but remember I’m bored with the primaries so I’m finding something else to occupy mine (and yours time). But it does tie in with politics anyways.
No one wants to admit it but the Eoropean economy is almost flat. Yeah the euro might be trading %14 above the US but um Cayman’s dollar is stronger than the US and they rely on us like a puppy relying on its mother for milk. So its no wonder they try every way possible to extract money from US companies to build up their own.
Yeah, you remember how the once (American hatin’) France tried to shut down Apple iPod sales in France if Apple did not sell their music without the dreaded DRM? Yes I know we all hate DRM (including me) but hey Apple is has its hand ties in this…although they like it that way cause more sales for them. Well some nut in England decided to take Microsoft to court for not allowing fair play on their new OS Vista? $1.45 billion was the fine. I know how much you hate Vista (I absolutely love it) but that’s no way to treat your enemy.
Well good news for Microsoft. They have reported record third quarter earnings even with the $.15 dip into their shares net price. Read the full press release HERE.
I can bet Steve Balmer and Bill Gates are laughing….although if that was Steve Jobs it would be the end of Apple as we know it. Perhaps Balmer is doing one of those famous dance moves of his? (See video below)

Well finally! After weeks of soft peddling Rev. Jeremiah Wrights racist and outrageous comments Mr. Obama has finally laid the hammer directly on the nail.
I am outraged by the comments that were made and saddened by the spectacle that we saw yesterday. The person I saw yesterday was not the person that I met 20 years ago.
Not the same man he was 20 years ago eh? Do we need to replay some of those hate filled sermons to jog Mr. Obama’s memory?
What is quite amusing is that Rev. Wright believes the government came out with the HIV virus to destroy minorities? Why would Democrats or Republicans do that when they like the illegal voters and cheap labor respectively?

I have great respect for the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our country but that does not mean that every one who serves in the armed forces is patriotic. Some go into the military because they were conned into it, (sad but true) others went into it for the discipline and yet others went into it either for the pay or they thought they had nothing better to do. That does not mean I value their service any less but come on. You can’t tell me they are the most patriotic persons you know.
According to Jeremiah Wright he has very patriotic and he uses his six years of military service as evidence. If his actions matched that than I would buy it but let look at it, Timothy McVeigh also served in the military? According to Rev. Wright it is because of our terrorist acts why Sep. 11 happened.
You know what watch the video for yourself. I only one thing to say. I would not be surprised if its because this idiot will not keep his big ass mouth quiet why Barack is only leading Hillary by 9% in the poll up from 19% last week.
