Joanna Krupa’s nude PETA ad gets Catholics in a fit

PETA is no stranger to controversy, and anyone who knows anything about the organization knows that their racy ads are sometimes over the top. But this latest one has garnered the condemnation of many in the Catholic church because according to them it is sacrilegious. We’ll let you be the judge of that. Check out both pictures of the Maxim bombshell using a well placed cross to cover her assets while innocent animals below look on.

“The fact is that cats and dogs are a lot safer in pet stores than they are in the hands of PETA employees,” Catholic League President Bill Donohue said in a statement. “Moreover, pet stores don’t rip off Christian iconography and engage in cheap irreligious claims.”
“PETA is a fraud,” Donohue continued. “It also has a long and disgraceful record of exploiting Christian and Jewish themes to hawk its ugly services. Those who support this organization sorely need a reality check. They also need a course in Ethics 101.”
Krupa issued a statement responding to the Catholic League, saying: “As a practicing Catholic, I am shocked that the Catholic League is speaking out against my PETA ads. I’m doing what the Catholic Church should be doing, working to stop senseless suffering of animals, the most defenseless of God’s creation.”

Penelope Cruz is one of the most famous Spanish actresses to gain critical acclaim in the U.S and after checking out a few of her films its not hard to see why. But it’s kinda funny because when I watched Spanglish a few years back, while I knew it wasn’t her, I was wondering why the actress looked so close to Cruz. Turns out that Paz Vega is also a Spanish actress and even though she hasn’t done as many Hollywood films as Penelope, both ladies have a striking resemblance. Check out the gallery below for proof.

OK, I’m a big fan of the Bruckheimer’s films and an even bigger fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. But this trailer for the movie adaptation for Price of Persia just reeks. I’m not saying its because of Disney because Pirates was a Disney franchise and so was Narnia and Natinoal Treasure to name a few. But this trailer just looks cheesy.

And for heaven’s sake, couldn’t they find a real Persian to adopt the role? You can check out the trailer below.
