There is no doubt as to why most people have not heard this speech from MLK. Maybe its because of his heavy use of the scriptures, or maybe its because we are taught that its OK to compromise and we shouldn’t risk our lives for anything we believe. The speech transcript is below:

“I say to you, this morning, that if you have never found something so dear and precious to you that you will die for it, then you aren’t fit to live.

You may be 38 years old, as I happen to be, and one day, some great opportunity stands before you and calls upon you to stand for some great principle, some great issue, some great cause. And you refuse to do it because you are afraid.

You refuse to do it because you want to live longer. You’re afraid that you will lose your job, or you are afraid that you will be criticized or that you will lose your popularity, or you’re afraid that somebody will stab or shoot or bomb your house. So you refuse to take a stand.

Well, you may go on and live until you are ninety, but you are just as dead at 38 as you would be at ninety.

And the cessation of breathing in your life is but the belated announcement of an earlier death of the spirit.

You died when you refused to stand up for right.

You died when you refused to stand up for truth.

You died when you refused to stand up for justice.”

Ray Boltz

Ray Boltz has done it. The Christian artist who has sold over 4.5 million LP, CD’s and cassettes has openly confessed to being gay. According to the formally married singer he had told his family in 2004 around the Tsunamis.

You know what I’m not going to even finish the story. I’m sure you have more information than you want to know. I must say that I did own a couple of his cassettes (back than when those were in) and even now I do like a couple of his songs but this one is shocking. I wouldn’t have been surprised if Chris Martin, Tom (from Plain White Tees) or even Yanni had came out, but I am shocked to say the least about this latest revelatioin from Ray Boltz.

752365-thumb Pope: this is blasphemous

The pope has made himself clear by condemning the 4 foot sculpture of the frog pictured at left. The sculpture is by the late German artist Martin Kippenberger. The sculpture (as you can see) pictures a green frog, nailed to a wooden cross, with a green beer mug in his right hand and an egg in his left hand.

Board members at the museum of Museion in Bolzano Italy were debating last Thursday whether to remove the sculpture or leave it there and face the wrath of the pope.

While I do not agree with the sculptures, it is my personal belief that its a freedom of expression. Yes the pope has the right to condemn the cross, but he should not go any father than that.

On the other hand I would like to see what all those Muslim sympathizers have to say. At the moment you cannot have a single sculpture up in any public musium that the Muslims consider offensive. Yet I don’t hear these same people condemning this sculpture. Is it just me or do I sense another case of double standards here? I could be wrong, but seeing this is the Italians (who have heavy Muslim concentration), something is telling me that this is not the case.

What are your thoughts? Leave them in a comment below!

This is the reason why I believe the Muslim religion must die (or at least change). A US Marine was quickly removed from duty this week after it was reported that he handed out coins with Christian themes in Fallujah.

I don’t get something here. The Muslims come to this country and recruit converts (and even terrorists). They are allowed to carry out ever facet of their religion (except for blowing up people of course), yet a US Marine cannot hand out a damn quarter with a message that says Jesus loves you.

I’d expect them to show at least a little appreciation for us coming down there and killing Al Zakari and also with the execution of Saddam. We’ve lost 2,000+ soldiers to date freeing their country from oppression and they start to protest cause a soldier decides to hand out some quarters? Isn’t it the basis of every religion (including Islam) to find converts?

Don’t for one minute get the idea that I am condoning sex with minors because I am against that even if it happens to be your damn religion. But I am so rejoicing over the current appeals court ruling giving the judge who ordered this propaganda raid on those in Texas 10 days to give the kids back to their parents.

I don’t trust our government. I didn’t trust them in Wacko Texas and I believe they were trying to make this another Wacko case where they use the US military against its citizens (which by the way is unconstitutional….unlike Bush’s surveillance program).

Do I believe that the men should be prosecuted if enough evidence is brought against them? HELL to the yeah. But I don’t believe the mothers should suffer when it has clearly been proven many of them were brainwashed. Not to mention they have a strict diet. What the hell are these government workers feeding these kids…..its their religious conviction not to eat certain things and we live in a free country. Uncle Sam might as well start respecting our God given rights.

Unfortunately they are being taken away slowly but surly.

So is Huckabee considering the VP spot? Well watch the video below and find out. What’s also interesting is that the Tim Russet points out how Huckabee was mauled by the media and many others for his “Christmas cross” yet Obama is out rightly proposing his faith now and no one says anything.

What has this taught us? There are two different standards in politics. The Democratic standard and the Republican.

John HageeSo the pastor who once called the Catholic Church the great whore has apologized. You know I had a lot of respect for Hagee to stand up and say those comments and stand by theme even when the masses were telling him to shut up and apologize. Now I don’t know if I have that same admiration I once had.

First of all you can say I hate catholics all you want (which is not true as my girlfriend is catholic) but according to the bible the catholic church is the “mother of harlots”. I mean come on 50 years ago you asked any American who the anti-Christ was and they would say the pope. Now you ask them and they’ll even tell you Barney or Bush (I can see why they’d think the latter…even though I don’t agree).

Even President Lincoln recognized the Catholic church as one of the major forces trying to tear the young US apart during the civil war. And believe it or not there is a lot of truth behind the conspiracy theory that he was assassinated by the church. John Wilkes Booth was just the front man. Ever heard of the 6 or so priests and bishops who escaped through Canada and were later hung for his death? Probably not!

Has the Catholic Church ever apologized to the Jews for hiding Nazi war criminals in Chile as Catholic Priests and Bishops? NO! Have they ever apologized for killing the 6 million Waldensians during the dark ages? Again NO! I’m not saying….

Now its McCain’s pastor. Remember back in early April we reported how McCain has stayed clear of the religious crowd? Well according to some dirt they’re trying to bring up on him there’s a reason. According to some on the left his pastors views are just as bad as Obama’s pastor or worse.

McCain’s pastor who happens to be John Hagee, the same guy who preached that the New Orleans disaster of ‘05 was a judgment from God (for the sodomy and vice going on in the city) and also his not so kind comments about the Pope (which I happen to agree with him on both issues), is currently in the limelight, or should I say they’re trying to force it on him, for some of those same comments.

Lets face it. Religion has never sat well with the left. And this sure hell isn’t. Too bad they cannot find any comments from him claiming that America deserved 9/11 and um US invented HIV to kill minorities; oh damn! Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. said that. And why the hell do I even put that word before his name?

Rev. Jeremiah Wright JrYes I know and he knows that the controversy he has stirred up over his recent comments are not going to go away if he stays quiet or if he talks about it. But I’m beginning to wonder if Rev. Jeremiah Wright is intentionally trying to kill Obama’s bid for the Democratic nomination or worse the White House.

Should he come out and try and defend himself? Well he has nothing to loose. Hardly a damn person knew who the Rev. was until Sean Hannity broke the story almost a year ago (and more recently the media), although Winfrey used to attend his church (so I understand). So as it seems now for him, I’m already in the spot light and since its not going away any time soon why the hell not do my thing before they kill the lights.

Yes I know everyone wants the spotlight on them at least once in a while (whether for selfish or unselfish reasons) but ahem don’t you think you should tone down your statements Mr. Wright? Your own black brothers are telling you that you’re hurting the poor fella. Give it a rest or at least tread waters for a while and stop stirring up the brothers.

What is quite surprising is that the Republican alligators are yet to prey upon the drowning Obama. What’s that you say? Oh yeah he’s not drowning….YET!

Well finally! After weeks of soft peddling Rev. Jeremiah Wrights racist and outrageous comments Mr. Obama has finally laid the hammer directly on the nail.

I am outraged by the comments that were made and saddened by the spectacle that we saw yesterday. The person I saw yesterday was not the person that I met 20 years ago.

Not the same man he was 20 years ago eh? Do we need to replay some of those hate filled sermons to jog Mr. Obama’s memory?

What is quite amusing is that Rev. Wright believes the government came out with the HIV virus to destroy minorities? Why would Democrats or Republicans do that when they like the illegal voters and cheap labor respectively?

The entire speech is after the break (click the read more link)
