The video for the third and last presidential debate can be viewed below. The entire debate was focused on the economy except for a few remarks about foreign policy. Its quite funny how watch candidate kept interrupting each other during the first half of the debate and how many times Obama kept pinning President Bush to John McCain with John finally saying “if you wanted to run against Goerge Bush, you should have run four years ago.”
Other than McCain being his usual self and Obama doing the same old damn thing there isn’t much except for Joe the Plumber who gets his name mentioned over two dozen times.
After you finish watching it, you can read my analysis of the debate as well as who won.

Its interesting how Joe Wurzelbacher (or Joe the Plumber as McCain dubbed him) has risen to stardom overnight. And now that he seems to be leaning to McCain even though he wishes both candidates would leave him alone the media is quickly trying to pull up dirt on him.
First Gawker (the ultra liberal NY blogger) is claiming that Joe might have been planted as a McCain surrogate. Now MSNBC is saying he is operating without a license. I’m guessing that when Barack told Mr. Wurzelbacher that he wanted to spread his wealth around it really hit a nerve with undecided voters and they don’t want that. When you couple that with the fact that Obama is telling his supporters not to be overly confident, I’m guessing that there might be more to this thing than we know.
In any case Joe the Plumber has come re represent many undecided voters and now that he is leaning to the McCain ticket, a lot of liberals do not like that.

I’m beginning to sense that every time (since the first presidential debate) all the networks have pre written a story saying John McCain was too cranky so he lost (including Fox). No one denies that Barack Obama is the more eloquent of the two, but neither can you deny the fact that in the last two debates (especially last night’s one) John McCain kept Obama on the offensive.
And all the political pundits are saying that he is too cranky. As McCain said last night (which could have been a game changer if it were not for Obama’s extremely good comeback) “if you wanted to run against George Bush, you should have run four years ago.”
Nothing pleased me more than the way both candidates kept pandering to Joe the plumber who has gotten instant fame thanks to a big mistake by Obama. What the news media will not say is that last night McCain gave the best demonstration of the socialistic intent of Obama. As he said to Joe the Plumber, “I want to spread some of that wealth around.”
I do have to give Obama credit though. On almost every debate he has creamed McCain on the issue of healthcare. But one small advantage that McCain has is that its the same government who has mashed up the health care system that Obama want’s to give back control to. In other words “more of the same.”
So if you are asking me who won, I’ll have to go with McCain and the reason why is on two issues: Joe the Plumber who solidified the point of what Obama really stands for and McCain hammering Obama on living in the past and referring him to President Bush.

The final presidential debate is upon us and there is not much anticipation as to whether this will be a game changer for either campaign or not. McCain needs to smoke Obma in this one if he wants to improve his odds of even having a chance again him in the presidential elections (coming up in 19 days), and Obama needs to prove that he is not about high taxes (although many believe he already has).
I had said a few months back (during the primaries) that I was loosing interest in politics but as the final days of the campaigns approach I can only sit with both fingers crossed. Let’s just see how this last presidential debate fairs off and we might have some solid evidence as to who is gonna be the man come January 1’st.

Yeah I know I am at least two days late on this, but I had to do some real thinking before I gave my opinion. Let me be honest with you, I don’t think McCain did as good as he wanted to, and although Obama connected with almost everyone on the healthcare issue (citing his personal experiences) he did not give that knock out poll to McCain as he wanted to.
But I have announced a winner for the second round, and it is based on mostly the performance in the first half of the debate and the amount of fibs that flowed from each candidates mouth.
Unfortunately (for Obama that is) McCain totally creamed him in the first half with the exception of the healthcare issue. The only thing that was left from McCain’s speech was more personal and direct attacks at Obama on his associations with shady people.
In terms of lying Obama goes on record for letting out the most lies in the night. Well this is not a surprise because the week before his vice presidential nominee told an outstanding number of 14 lies in the hour and a half that he had up there.
I just have a few more tips for McCain, talk to people personally and not indirectly, because it really resonates with voters.
So who won this debate, I go with McCain. And yes the media did know that also. They were just too scared to say it.

So who won the debate? Well as usual I will save my answer to that question until later but I have some questions to ask. McCain, where did this $300 billion mortgage plan came from? And why the hell didn’t you attack Obama on Ayers?
I have no more questions to ask. But in the mean time you can check out FactCheck.org and see how many lies both candidates told.

A new poll from CBS shows Obama leading only by 3 points in the national polls. That means that the Sarah Palin debate did help McCain after all, although the media was quick to say it would not. I wonder what they would have said had Biden won? I guess they were embarrassed that Biden told 14 bold face lies during the debate.

The second presidential debate is later today and while the first round of debates didn’t go so well for McCain, it seems like he is planning to keep Obama on the defensive this time. But before we go there it was quite interesting that Biden did not tell a few lies as I had thought earlier. In fact it was 14. Here they are:
- TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.
- AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.
- OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, “Drill we must.” But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to “raping” the Outer Continental Shelf.”
- TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it’s passage.
- OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.
- ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.
- HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people’s health insurance coverage — they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false
- OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska — she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it’s not a windfall profits tax.
- AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.
- REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation — he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.
- IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was “dead wrong on Iraq”, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.
- TAX INCREASES: Biden said Americans earning less than $250,000 wouldn’t see higher taxes, but the Obama-Biden tax plan would raise taxes on individuals making $200,000 or more.
- BAILOUT: Biden said the economic rescue legislation matches the four principles that Obama laid out, but in reality it doesn’t meet two of the four principles that Obama outlined on Sept. 19, which were that it include an emergency economic stimulus package, and that it be part of “part of a globally coordinated effort with our partners in the G-20.”
- REAGAN TAX RATES: Biden is wrong in saying that under Obama, Americans won’t pay any more in taxes then they did under Reagan.

You might ask how did I get to this conclusion. Well before I give you a lengthly dscussion into the subject, let me sum it up in as few a words as possible so you and I can be on our ways.
All eyes were on Palin as to how she would perform, which means a lot of the attention was taken off Biden. Of course it came across that Biden had a better grasp of the issues. But that is exactly how it came across in the first debates with Obama and McCain. Yet Obama won (although technically McCain carried the trophy home).
Not only that but from very early in the debate Palin put Biden on the defensive having him scramble around to defend his positions and she did a very clever job of putting a wedge between him and Obama especially on foreign policies.
When you also add the fact that Biden lied on more thana few occasions its a clear winner. Of course the media will not paint it this way cause they are for the Obama/Biden ticket.
One thing I cannot understand, why did Biden mention George Bush and John McCain’s name so much?
