Thanks to the rising strength of our dollar and the fact that OPEC has decided not to cut output, oil prices have dropped below $72 for the barrel. I’m not one to say that all of a sudden we are OK with our economy but I’m beginning to think that the economy is fixing itself.

I guess the oil sheiks are lamenting that they didn’t get to see gas prices reach $10 a gallon in the US. Though I am almost sure they will be lobbying OPEC to cut production soon.

I am pissed at Congress. No I am not mad at the President or Barack or even McCain. But the freakin’ idiots that we have up there. We just experienced the greatest one day lost on the DOW and all I can hear the dumbass democrats up in Washington do is blame the Republicans for not passing the bill.

You called their commander in chief a fucking idiot for crying out loud and you expect them to vote with you? If your bill is so grand, why not pass it yourself, after all you have all the votes to do so. Pass the damn bill and take all the credit for it. I’m sure it will suite you well in the upcoming elections.

Oh wait I forgot its the crappiest bill ever thought of in a long time. You’re telling me that a bill that gives over $20 billion to liberal organizations is such a good idea? All you idiots want is the Republicans to put their signatures on that thing and than you (along with the drive by media) use it as a beating stick in their back sin a couple days.

I thought this was supposed to be the Congress that fixed the problems we had when the Republicans were in a few years ago? So much for all your good plans. And don’t tell me its because of the President. Because the President backed allot of this bill and people were still outraged about it. So he was on your side for once and you still missed by a mile. Heck crude oil has dropped $11 today but it doesn’t even make sense cause half the people are more concerned about keeping their car than filling her up at the pump.

Yes we lost more in one day ($1 Trillion) than this bailout would have cost us ($700 billion), but guess what, these greedy banks and loan sharks need to pay for their crimes. I don’t care if its gonna cost us 10 years before we have another record day on Wallstreet. But giving the banks nearly $1 Trillion to deal with the problems they created is just as bad as giving your teenager a gun to fix the problems he started.

Its high time this happened. Thanks to a threat of a veto from the executive branch the House has gladly lifted the ban on offshore drilling. But before you build up your hopes, most analysts are predicting at least 5-10 years before we could start using oil off our own soils. But at least its a move in the right direction.

In other news Barack Obama has seemed to make some gains on McCain in Florida and Virginia. Must I point out that this is not a Gallup poll. Let me warn you about something. Any poll from the media (CNN, USATODAY, CBS NYT etc.) should not be trusted unless they can prove how they came by their statistics.

As many other polls are suggesting, McCain (thanks to his choice of Sarah Palin) is set for a land slide election.

Arab OilI don’t know who the hell Bush and Congress think they’re trying to fool. Yes we have supposed allies in the middle east (Saudi Arabia, Dubai and maybe Iraq), well if you have been paying attention to the digits tick away at your local vampire station (I mean gas here) you might have noticed that our only ally in the middle east happens to be the one everyone over there is trying to kill-Israel.

Bush thinks Saudi Arabia is on our side! If that’s the case why am I paying $4 for every gallon of gas I put into my vehicle (and no I do not drive an SUV….yet)? The Saudis are not interested in America’s well being. They’re not interested in our economy thriving, you know why? Its a slap in the face to their religion that says everything that does not worship Allah must die!

The sooner we get that is the sooner we’re gonna ease this economic strain. If Congress and the current Administration is so interested in helping us Americans not to spend our life savings at the pump than why not go into some deal with Iraq. Hey we’ve helped them out for the past what, five years? And right now there is a $170 billion budget sitting before Congress to give them more help. I think its about time they return the favor.

We’ll fight your enemies while you supply us with more fuel? Doesn’t that sound like a fair deal? But if we do that than we won’t have to listen to Chavez and the Saudis….and there are certain people (who shall go nameless…for the moment) who don’t want that.

With gas prices breaking the $130 per barrel mark for the first time in history. The biggest executives from the five major oil companies are on Capitol Hill testifying on why this is the case.

I haven’t much to say on the subject except putting a new fine on these guys is not going to fix it. You want gas prices to go even higher. Put even a penny tax on gas and it will be at $5 a gallon by August.

Why doesn’t Congress quit charging these guys and begin opening some damn refineries in Texas. And begin drilling Anwar, Colorado and the Golf Coast? No they don’t want that cause than America will not be dependant on foreign oil. And thus we won’t have to bow to Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.

Well its official. The Saudis have said they see no reason to increase production of crude oil. They said they have already upped oil production by 300,000 barrels on May 10. And according to them the market is not calling for anymore (although we’re paying nearly $4 a gallon in the states).

So I wonder what the democrats are going to say now. We can’t build a damn refinery, hell no to nuclear power, no drilling in Anwar or in the golf and they sure as hell do not want to think about anything else. I guess that leaves us to our pathetic ethanol and electric cars.

The story sickens me but if you have the stomach for it, it can be found HERE!

So nothing etched in stone concerning peace in the Middle East. So he’s gone to speak to the Saudi’s about our gas crisis. No its not Jimmy Carter again…(although I do wish he would put in a word for us) its Bush. After not reaching any agreement with Israel on peace in the West Bank and of course Gaza Strip he’s on to Saudi Arabia to see what he can do.

Danm it Mr. President! It took you so long to see the torture we go through every day looking at the prices at the pump? Well as I said the only way we’ll get a speedy fix is if politicians start paying their gas bills. And that just might be the case. In a couple months Bush will be out of office and you know what that means…damn it I forgot. He still has government pension plus he owns some oil company down there in Texas right?

Gas Price HumorFor all this talk by McCain that we’re in a recession, and Obama and Clinton about how they feel our pain you’d expect that all three senators would work out a damn bill to lower our gas prices. For all this talk about helping us out you’d expect to see some legislation going on in Congress or the Senate to deal with the gas prices that has tripled in the last five years. And no I’m not talking about draping up OPEC cause that’s just gonna cause them to raise prices higher.

The first laws of a relationship is if you want to get the other party make them jealous. The best way to make OPEC jealous is to start drilling the Gulf of Mexico and Anwar up there in Alaska. But guess why that will never happen? We happen to have some environmental couks out there who’d rather you pay $3.50 a gallon or drive in a Toyota Prius than do some safe drilling off the coast of Alaska. And as you guessed Al Gore heads this new group.

But believe me we’ll never have a solution until Bush starts footing the cost of his limousine every day, Clinton and Pelosi find out that its not air that powers their jets and of course Barack Obama…well what can I say about him? Nothing!

Oh and while I’m at it, if you think that raising the taxes on gas will fix the problem you are quite delusional. Tell me once where the taxes have not been transferred to the customer?
