FDR revolutionized the Presidency (in terms of communication) when he began his weekly radio messages telling the American people exactly what he was doing to fix the Depression and WWII. Now Obama has taken that a step further with his use of YouTube. Obama will be giving his weekly address and fireside talks via the radio (as usual) along with a YouTube video cast in which he will basically do the same thing FDR did.
Of course half that will be said will just be PR and help with his reelection bid but on the other hand it does seem like the biggest step ini terms of communication between the President and his people since FDR. Oh well the first video can be viewed below.

This marks the 300′th post on this blog so I decided to celebrate by talking off the top of my head (not that its anything new for me). It was funny I was browsing the internet today and came across an article found that depressed people watch more TV than those who do not. In case you haven’t noticed most shows have added significant numbers to their viewing audience.
But wait a minute, I thought that hope has come to America because Obama won? I’d be expecting half those people to be celebrating. But you know what, I’m not that surprised that no one is really celebrating Obama’s victory. While I am happy he won I don’t see any reason to celebrate because so far I have not seen or heard anything that I can say is going to drastically change our current course.
And don’t tell me not to be so negative about the dude, because half of the people who would have a problem with me saying anything would want to shoot the current President if they got the chance. Have a good day!

Lets face it, as much as you might hate Bush you cannot say that there are any major concerns of him being assassinated. On the other hand, American’s most famous President-elect (worldwide to date) Barack Hussein Obama has had the most death threats and assassination talks than anyone before him.
In fact many are wondering if he’ll even finish his first term. That taken into consideration its not a surprise that a journalist would fine this in a Maine store.
In a Maine convenience store, an Associated Press reporter saw a sign inviting customers to join a betting pool on when Obama might fall victim to an assassin. The sign solicited $1 entries into “The Osama Obama Shotgun Pool,” saying the money would go to the person picking the date closest to when Obama was attacked. “Let’s hope we have a winner,” said the sign, since taken down.
I am not going to say that I bet he will be assassinated because that is out of the question, but I am seriously wondering if he will finish his first term. What do you think?

I can’t say this very often, but I have to tell you Rush you were wrong about Obama being the weaker of the candidates. Thanks to Rush and Hannity Hillary lost. Now don’t get me wrong, originally Obama was weaker than Hillary but after Texas it was a clear indication that she was loosing footing.

Well they don’t own the banks yet but if it continues on the same course that $700 billion bailout plan that some of you so eagerly groveled for will not be used to buy out the bad mortgages that the government was responsible for but instead buy steaks in our major financial institutions.
Maybe now you see why I said the government should not get involved in fixing Wall Street. How are you going to trust the same assholes who got us into this mess to take us out? And yeah that Barack guy who you voted for took how many thousands from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
I tell you, this whole thing about the government fixing up the economy by buying stocks in banks is nothing but a clever ploy by Barack Obama and his team of Chicago Mobsters to turn this country into socialist Cuba. Who can stop the government from sucking all the money out of the banks and feeding it to the lazy welfare citizens who never work but expect “the messiah” to pay for their 52″ Sony Bravia screen?
I’m seriously considering moving to Australia until this is over. Or until Obama drives this country over the socialistic edge and the people revolt and call in the Catholics.

You might wonder why I have so many series going on in my blog. Well the main reason is so my visitors and I can know how many times I visited a particular subject. This series documents the indoctrination of kids by our school system.
Below you will see a video of an African American school teacher beating up on one of her pupils just because she supports John McCain and the teacher supports Barack Obama.
After the video was released on YouTube the Cumberland County School District (Fayetteville NC) Superintendent Dr. William Harrison responded with these words.
I was shocked when I saw the clip of an interaction between a Cumberland County Schools teacher and her students as posted on YouTube. While neutral discussion of the political process is appropriate, at no time, particularly with elementary students, should a teacher infuse his/her political views into the discussion. Most disconcerting was the military slant that made its way into this discussion. We are a military community, serving over 15,000 military students and their families. We value the sacrifices, not only of the military parents but also those of their families.
…….
Once the video was brought to my attention, I immediately launched an investigation. Personnel laws prevent me from releasing information regarding individual employees and personnel action taken. I can assure you that upon completion of the investigation, I will take appropriate action.

Yesterday I dealt with the fact on why Obama won. As promised I will be consoling you Republican’s with the reasons why your candidate lost. As I said yesterday Obama and McCain do not differ in their message that much. What carried Obama to a super victory is the fact that Obama was able to bring his message across a lot better and of course McCain was carrying a lot of baggage from the current administration.
Had this credit crisis not pop up a few weeks before the election McCain would have won. If you notice during the primaries the main concern was illegal immigration and foreign affairs, and as usual the Republican’s trumped the Democrats on that.
Don’t get me wrong though, there are plenty of Republican who could have gone head to head against Obama and won but McCain was not one of those guys. Had Fred Thompson or Mitt Romney actually won the nomination Obama would not have stood a chance.
People did not vote for Obama because they trusted him. They voted for him because they were scared and McCain was not able to calm their fears. The exit polls (which can be greatly inaccurate) pointed out that Bush was not a major issue on McCain. The major issue was that people did not think he was able to calm their fears and fix this crisis.
Last but not least, McCain was a big joke on the campaign field. While Obama kept driving nail after nail in his coffin, all McCain could do is sit like a lame duck and make wild shots at Obama. And to be honest with you the only reason why I supported McCain was because of Sarah Palin. Had she not been on the ticket I would have campaigned for Obama. But its a good thing that McCain did not win, because had he won, the GOP would be kissing their chances of gaining seats in the house or even the presidency in the coming years.

I decided to put together a two part series discussing why Obama won and why McCain lost. Although I like rooting for the underdog (which means I was rooting for McCain I knew that he hardly stood a chance against Obama. Its not that Obama had a great message. In fact McCain and Obama differed only on foreign policy, taxes and healthcare. Of course there were other few differences but those were the major ones.
So why did Obama win? Two main reasons were the fact that he was able to explain his point better and half the voters voted out of fear and not because of substance. As I said before Obama is one of the most eloquent speakers to run for the Whitehorse and while McCain was not as bad as many people made it out to be he did not stand a chance against Obama.
So the real reason why Obama won was not because he had a superior message, its because he was in the right place at the right time. Had it not been for the credit crisis Obama would not be our 44′th Commander in Chief.
And don’t let anyone tell you it was the young voters who brought Obama victory because although more young voters were involved than previous elections they did not turn out in the record numbers everyone had predicted.
Simply put Obama was lucky. Am I happy he won? Yes and no. I am happy that I’ll be able to prove a point but I am not happy about some of the policies he will implement.
Tomorrow I’ll deal with [part 2] which deals with “why McCain lost.”

You might be wondering why it took me so long to report it. Its not because I’m not secretly seeding over the results, in fact its quite the opposite. I just seemed no need to report an event that almost everyone who was somebody was watching on the TV.
Don’t get me wrong its a day for celebration. Finally the dreams of Martin Luther King Jr. have been realized though many (including myself) would argue with that. In any case no matter who you voted for you should be happy to a certain extent. I know you McCain supporters are a little more than dissapointed and some even terrified. But look on the bright side, we can all agree that most of us are a little optimistic about what Obama can accomplish. And even though we may disagree with him on some of his policies…
Well that’s all I got to say. For one thing I am a little glad the Democrats didn’t get their magic 60 in the Senate. But other than that I really don’t have much to say on the elections. I’ll just wait and see how the messiah handles himself when he assumes the most powerful position in the world.
I’m just wondering why the Dow is taking such a hit after such “good” news though? Lets see if it corrects itself by weekend.

To be honest with you the only reason why I did not extend my vacation in the Bahamas has to do with the fact of the election. And what is more bizarre is that my flight from Charlotte NC was delayed. So as we were waiting in line to take off (20′th in line to be exact) I just happened to spot a plane that looked quite familiar and what do you know it was Barack Obama’s plane.
For all of you who actually think I hate Obama, let me clarify. I like the guy. Obama is a very likable person. The only thing I don’t like about him are some of his political policies. So if you think I hate him than no you’re wrong. And as I said before may the best man win.
