In case you wonder why I never trust a poll from Newsweek, MSNBC, CNN ABC (and even Fox) or any other news outlet for that matter it is because of this reason. Every single news poll out there is meant to sway viewers minds in one way or the other, and this new Newsweek poll is exactly that.

According to the poll the public is accepting gay marraige and many people want it to be made law. Well if that is the case how come California shot it down? Why is it that they are trying to get the courts to go around the vote of the people?

The whole reasons such a poll is released is to try and shape the publics mind, that is why these people can’t get anyone to watch their damn shows because its things like these that turn people off.

Its not like this is odd news, Sarah Palin actually came away with a win when she ran opposite McCain a few months ago. The reason why is although she lost she revitalized the Republican base. Now that’s not to say there are not others who wouldn’t be interested in picking up where she left off but somehow I think Palin is going to be a major deciding factor in 2012.

Among those vying for the nomination in 2012 is Mitt Romney, Palin (of course), Huckabee, Newt and of course Bobby (from Louisiana). Personally I believe that the perfect ticket for 2012 (on the Republican side) is a Romney/Palin ticket. That’s not to say the others aren’t good but those have the best chance against a political machine such as Obama.

We’ll just have to see but I have a gut feeling that Palin is no where near over. What do you think?

Didn’t I tell you, didn’t I tell you? A new AP poll finds that the presidential race has tightened significantly with the latest AP polls showing Obamma at 44 and McCain at 43 (statistically tied). So much for all those Obama supporters who thought everything was over. Seems like the Joe the Plumber thing really struck a note with voters.

AP NEWS

The poll, which found Obama at 44 percent and McCain at 43 percent, supports what some Republicans and Democrats privately have said in recent days: that the race narrowed after the third debate as GOP-leaning voters drifted home to their party and McCain’s “Joe the plumber” analogy struck a chord.

Three weeks ago, an AP-GfK survey found that Obama had surged to a seven-point lead over McCain, lifted by voters who thought the Democrat was better suited to lead the nation through its sudden economic crisis.

As I said before, don’t underestimate Mac. No one ever thought he would win the Republican nomination and look at where he is now.

A new poll from CBS shows Obama leading only by 3 points in the national polls. That means that the Sarah Palin debate did help McCain after all, although the media was quick to say it would not. I wonder what they would have said had Biden won? I guess they were embarrassed that Biden told 14 bold face lies during the debate.

Its high time this happened. Thanks to a threat of a veto from the executive branch the House has gladly lifted the ban on offshore drilling. But before you build up your hopes, most analysts are predicting at least 5-10 years before we could start using oil off our own soils. But at least its a move in the right direction.

In other news Barack Obama has seemed to make some gains on McCain in Florida and Virginia. Must I point out that this is not a Gallup poll. Let me warn you about something. Any poll from the media (CNN, USATODAY, CBS NYT etc.) should not be trusted unless they can prove how they came by their statistics.

As many other polls are suggesting, McCain (thanks to his choice of Sarah Palin) is set for a land slide election.

eclggstffeujucpucnom7w-300x188 Obama voters more fearful than McCain voters

I don’t have many nice things to say about either political party but this time I have to pick at the Democratic party. A new poll released today by Gallup shows that Obama voters are more fearful (73%) that the economy is in a recession or depression than McCain voters (45%).

Isn’t this telling us something? Apparently Obama is operating a campaign based on scaring people into voting for him. If more than half of your voters are voting for you because they are afraid of the other candidate or things that are currently happening than something is wrong.

Johan McCain

With a 3 point margin of error, a new USA Today/Gallup poll showed Obama trailing McCain by four points among registered voters. The poll was conducted from Friday to Sunday and involved 1,022 registered adult voters.

So how come McCain is suddenly leading Obama after trailing him by seven points last week? Sarah Palin. McCain has not done anything out of the ordinary except for picking Palin and its the only reason why he is up there.

Of course polls can be very innacurate (and even bias) so we won’t know for sure until 58 more days. Till than may the best man win.

I was just waiting to see when this would be released; and Sean and Rush are jumping up and down in their studio chairs. According to some national poll conducted within the last 72 hour, Hillary is leading Obama 49-44%. But as many are saying (including me) I fail to see how this is going to translate into more superdelegates jumping behind her train or worse next weeks primaries in NC (they North Carolina people are not fun of her campaign dissing them).

Last but not least polls hardly say anything unless the actual process on how the poll was conducted can be released. Obama might be down in “their” polls because they interviewed only people offended by his comments. Or he could be up in the polls because they surveyed only Democrats and not Republican’s or Independents.

So as it looks right now old man Obama is still in the lead…which tells me Limbaugh’s and Hannity’s joy victory will be short lived. Damn I’m getting tired of the two.
