They say all is fair in love and war, so I’m guessing that this also applies to politics. Benjamin Netanyahu (Israeli Likud Party leader and Prime Minister hopeful) knows that all too well.
Imitation is the greatest form of flattery,” noted Ron Dermer, one of Mr. Netanyahu’s top campaign advisers. “We’re all in the same business, so we took a close look at a guy who has been the most successful and tried to learn from him. And while we will not use the word ‘change’ in the same way in our campaign, we believe Netanyahu is the real candidate of change for Israel.
So obviously the Netanyahu campaign is not denying it. What is striking is how this has suddenly become a political discussion by the media who think Mr. Netanyahu does not represent the change for Israel as Obama represented it for America citing such things as his wanting to cut off peace talks with the Palestinians.
The only notable differences in the layout of both sites is that in Hebrew everything is read from right to left. Good luck interpreting the site.
I should point out that the pictures and website link I have are the Russian version (thus reads from left to right). The Hebrew version can be found HERE.

Finally someone got it right. Orson Scott Card has finally said something that every major news network (with the exception of Fox) was not willing to say. You will find the letter below.
This housing crisis didn’t come out of nowhere. It was not a vague emanation of the evil Bush administration.
It was a direct result of the political decision, back in the late 1990s, to loosen the rules of lending so that home loans would be more accessible to poor people. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were authorized to approve risky loans. …
This was completely foreseeable and in fact many people did foresee it. One political party, in Congress and in the executive branch, tried repeatedly to tighten up the rules. The other party blocked every such attempt and tried to loosen them.
Furthermore, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were making political contributions to the very members of Congress who were allowing them to make irresponsible loans. (Though why quasi-federal agencies were allowed to do so baffles me. It’s as if the Pentagon were allowed to contribute to the political campaigns of Congressmen who support increasing their budget.)
Isn’t there a story here? Doesn’t journalism require that you who produce our daily paper tell the truth about who brought us to a position where the only way to keep confidence in our economy was a $700 billion bailout? Aren’t you supposed to follow the money and see which politicians were benefiting personally from the deregulation of mortgage lending?
I have no doubt that if these facts had pointed to the Republican Party or to John McCain as the guilty parties, you would be treating it as a vast scandal. “Housing-gate,” no doubt. Or “Fannie-gate.”
Instead, it was Senator Christopher Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank, both Democrats, who denied that there were any problems, who refused Bush administration requests to set up a regulatory agency to watch over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and who were still pushing for these agencies to go even further in promoting sub-prime mortgage loans almost up to the minute they failed. …
Yet when Nancy Pelosi accused the Bush administration and Republican deregulation of causing the crisis, you in the press did not hold her to account for her lie. Instead, you criticized Republicans who took offense at this lie and refused to vote for the bailout!
Your job, as journalists, is to tell the truth. That’s what you claim you do, when you accept people’s money to buy or subscribe to your paper.
But right now, you are consenting to or actively promoting a big fat lie — that the housing crisis should somehow be blamed on Bush, McCain, and the Republicans. You have trained the American people to blame everything bad — even bad weather — on Bush, and they are responding as you have taught them to.
If you had any personal honor, each reporter and editor would be insisting on telling the truth — even if it hurts the election chances of your favorite candidate.

Welcome to part six in our popular series that covers media and political bias. Last episode we covered the big hoopla the media made when they found out that Joe the Plumber’s real name is Samuel. This episode also has to deal with Joe the Plumber and Barack Obama.
The news media sees it fit to dig up the back taxes of Joe the Plumber. Yet Barack Obama has admitted to using illicit drugs. Yet the media won’t ask him where these drugs were bought or if he ever sold them? On the other hand they tried to destroy Bush in 2004 over a drunk driving record that was from his teenage days.
I say this every time, but only because it is worth asking. Is it just me or am I sensing some extreme bias here?

Believe me I have no idea what the title of the post stands for but I thought its time to turn some lights on the state of our journalism in the US. We don’t have journalism. I swear if Barack Obama looses to McCain in the next few day’s it will be the end of journalism in the US as we know it.
And for all you McCain fans, don’t sour because the media keeps bashing him. And neither should you Barack Obama fans rest at ease. Mac can come back, in fact he has already started it.

Here is an interesting interview that ABC news did with Joe the Plumber. And as usual they tried to twist the argument (damn you liberal media). But he fought back. Don’t be surprised if Joe the Plumber becomes the main talking point for McCain during the last few days of the election.

Lets face it, there is nothing new about politicians fibbing. In fact the words “politicians” and “lying” goes hand in hand. Who is it this time? None other than Obama. Yeah the guy who is so big on change is actually not changing his political stance by lying about his connections to Ayers.
No I am not trying to overly bash Obama but since the media seems to be in love with him and except for the few who are willing to actually dig up dirt on him I guess I’ll have to do it.
So I ask, do you think Obama is being 100% honest about what he plans to do when he gets into office? After all he is lying through the skin of his teeth and he has not even been in office.

If you watch Fox news than you know this is nothing but classic O’Reilly factor montage. FINALLY!!! Someone in the media who is willing to ask this ass loving democrat (yes he is gay) what happened to the money from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Video can be viewed below.

Welcome to part four in our series of media, liberal and conservative bias. On this episode we deal with the media.
It never fails to amaze me how the media is so biased. Yes I agree that the McCain campaign is holding Mrs. Palin a little which has caused her to be a little unprepared for some interviews which has produced some gaffes but are we forgetting those of Barack Obama? While Palin has made some pretty funny gaffes in a few of her interviews they are just as bad as those made by Barack Obama. Yet we hear so much of the former and so little of the latter.
Yes Mrs Palin had trouble with the Supreme Court cases but do we need to mention that fact that Obama thinks that Afghanistan speaks arabic? Or the mixing up of memorial day with veterans day.
So remind me how we’ve not been hearing of those? Am I sensing an extreme bias in the media? Or is it just my imagination?

I think Mrs. Palin handled herself quite well even though Charles kept trying to play her as being a flipper on the subject. I’ve noticed something here. In 2004 John Kerry became infamous for his quote “I actually voted for the war before voting against it.” Now they’re trying to do the same thing with Palin.
But unless you’re brainless its pretty obvious, they have a futile point on this one. Video can be viewed below.

You think I’m kidding right? Well I am damn serious. Although I don’t agree with most of Obama’s and Biden’s polocies I can say that they have carried out one of the most civilized campaigns on the democratic front in years. But this time the praise goes to Biden.
Unfortunately he has tried to twist it to seem like Obama is not also responsible for the dirt being spread around about Palin. But at least he was man enough to characterize the media’s handling of Palin as sexist.
But next time Biden, make a clean sweep OK?
